IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPREME COURT REGULATION NUMBER 4 OF 2020 CONCERNING ADMINISTRATION AND TRIAL OF CRIMINAL CASES IN ELECTRONIC COURTS

Abstract

This research is entitled the implementation of Supreme Court Regulation Number 4 of 2020 regarding the administration and trial of criminal cases in Electronic Courts. The problem of this research is: First, what are the legal arrangements regarding online trials (E-litigation) in criminal cases in Indonesia? Second, how is the online trial process (E-litigation) in criminal cases? The purpose of this research is first, to know and analyze the legal arrangements regarding online trials (E-litigation) in criminal cases in Indonesia. Second, knowing and analyzing the online trial process (E-litigation) in criminal cases. The research method used is a normative juridical approach. The normative juridical approach is research carried out by means of reviewing the applicable laws and regulations applied to a particular legal issue. The results of the research are known first, the online trial process (e-litigation) in criminal cases uses the mechanism or administration of criminal case trials which are carried out online. online which can be summarized as regulated in Supreme Court Regulation Number 4 of 2020 concerning Administration and Trial of Criminal Cases in Courts Electronically. Second, efforts that must be made by the court in online trials (e-litigation) in criminal cases include increasing human resources and facilities as well as standardizing online or online trials Encouraging the publication of the latest rules regarding standardization of online trials
